Resources

Below are our go-to resources to learn more about OCD, hoarding, anxiety and their treatments. Note that we can’t recommend any specific therapists. The lab does not provide regular treatment.

International OCD Foundation

The IOCDF is a not-for-profit organisation made up of people with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related disorders, as well as their families, friends, professionals and others.  The mission and goals of the IOCDF are to educate individuals and professionals about OCD and related disorders, to support research, and to provide resources and advocacy for everyone in the OCD community.

The IOCDF also runs a hoarding-specific website that offers information, support, and resources to people living with or studying Hoarding Disorder.

This Way Up Courses

THIS WAY UP is part of the Clinical Research Unit for Anxiety and Depression (CRUfAD), and provides online treatment, education and research in anxiety and depressive disorders. The crew at THIS WAY UP aim to, "empower individuals by giving them access to online help and treatment for anxiety and depression". All THIS WAY UP services are based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and are supported by scientific evidence. On the THIS WAY UP site you will find free self-help modules for adults, health and wellbeing courses for school students, and a clinician-guided treatment program if you feel that is more appropriate for you.

OCD Clinician Network

The OCD Clinician Network exists to help Australians who live with OCD to find treatment. Mental health professionals who have declared a specific interest and skill in treating OCD have personally submitted their details to the online directory.

If you are looking for treatment for OCD within Australia, you can search the online directory to find a mental health professional near you or who provides treatment via telehealth.
